Coaching works best when you're willing to be curious, reflect honestly, and experiment with new approaches. You don't need to have everything figured out—or even know exactly what you want to work on. You simply need to be open to thinking differently and taking action between sessions.
Every session begins with what feels most important to you that day. Together, we'll explore the situation, identify what's getting in the way, consider new possibilities, and finish with clear next steps or insights you'll carry forward. Some conversations are practical and action-oriented; others create space for deeper reflection. The agenda is driven by your goals, not a predetermined curriculum.
This is a common misconception. Sometimes your coach will share observations, tools, or frameworks when they're helpful. But coaching isn't about telling you what to do. It's about helping you discover solutions that fit your values, goals, and situation so the decisions are truly your own.
Coaching is a partnership, and fit matters. That's why we begin with a complimentary chemistry and discovery conversation. It's an opportunity to discuss your goals, ask questions, and decide together whether coaching feels like the right next step.
That's completely normal. Many clients begin coaching with a general feeling that something needs to change—a decision they're avoiding, a transition they're navigating, or a sense that they're stuck. Clarifying the challenge is often one of the first outcomes of coaching.
